About
Hello! My name is Aimee Peters. I have been teaching art at the high school level since 1999. Currently, I teach at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa. Although I teach classes in just about every area of art, my main focuses are in photography and drawing. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University.
I have been married to my husband Jeff since 1995 and we are the parents of two beautiful and unique girls, Olivia and Emerson. Aside from my art and my family, I enjoy reading, running, and playing with my shih-tzu, Moby.
In my teaching, I believe that nurturing the students' creative confidence, as well as their sense of well-being is just as, if not more, important as any facts that they may learn. It is through this method that I believe students will make the greatest strides in their art work.
